Explore the mysterious temples on Taluva!
A very long time ago, the goddess Atera gifted several treasures to the inhabitant tribes of Taluva, instead of living in harmony the various tribes descended into war amongst each other. After many years of war and the island’s continuous volcanic eruptions, the island of Taluva is now deserted, however the treasures remain buried on the island.
The cooperative adventure game Timeland takes players to the island of Taluva, where there are lost treasures to be found. The shared goal is to explore one of the five temples on Taluva and recover four treasures in a limited time, as well as assemble the sacred tablet to succeed. Each treasure buys the expedition more time, but there are also dangers lurking in the temples of Taluva, and in addition, the only tool of communication is a walkie-talkie, which can only be used temporarily.
Each round consists of one of three possible actions. You can either move, reveal a temple tile, or use an adventurer tile. Each of these actions can advance the team. However, actions should be planned wisely, as time is a limited resource when exploring and discovering. After all players have performed their actions, it is necessary to rely on destiny, which is sometimes kind to the group, but can also quickly end the expedition. If all the objectives are completed before the end of the round, the expedition team is successful and can move on to other more complex temples on Taluva. For inexperienced explorers, there are also less complicated temples to explore on Taluva.
