Escape from New York

Escape from New York puts you in the special atmosphere of the cult film from 1982 by the old master John Carpenter.

All of Manhattan has become the biggest prison in the world. You'll take on the roles of Snake Plissken, Brain, Maggie and Cabbie, the iconic cab driver. In a race against time, you'll explore the dangerous streets of New York, looking for the president, the important tape cassette and a sketch of the bridge you want to escape across without being blown apart by a mine. Work together or betray each other to fulfill your own goals and escape from New York alone. Whatever you choose, you'll have to face the Manhattan gangs, led by the Duke of New York and two other scary opponents, Romero and Slag.

In your moves you'll gradually explore New York City to find the president, the tape cassette and the sketch of a bridge. With each move you'll be able to uncover more parts of the city, gradually creating the game map. In the process, you'll also be able to find new equipment and prepare for combat. Vehicles are especially useful, since they let you quickly cover more distances - since you only have a limited amount of time for your mission.

After a successful crowdfunding campaign, the board game based on the cult film The Rattlesnake - Ecape from New York will be released in German by HeidelBÄRen. The game is aimed at fans of the film as well as anyone who is in the mood for an exciting board game adventure.

The game offers semi-cooperative fun. Together you try to complete the task and leave New York City. However, each person also has their own goal that they can pursue. So be careful if your friends turn against you.
