The Tannheim Aftercare Clinic gives new strength and hope to families with seriously chronically ill children. It offers highly qualified treatment for the entire family within the scope of family-oriented aftercare for a child suffering from cancer, heart disease or cystic fibrosis. Adolescent patients can take advantage of the "Young Rehab" programme, while the clinic offers adults follow-up care as part of the REHA27PLUS programme. The Tannheim Aftercare Clinic also treats "orphaned families" - these are families who have lost a child through illness. The severely afflicted families experience the clinic in the Black Forest as an "island in the sea of sorrows".
